Roundly recognised as one of Aotearoa’s preeminent songwriters for her Taite Music Prize-winning 2020 self-titled album, 2022’s majestic follow-up IRIS and 2017’s Country Music Award-winning HOPEFUL & HOPELESS, Reb Fountain has announced her next long player How Love Bends will be out in the world on 7th March 2025. A co-release via her own imprint Fountain Records and the iconic Flying Nun Records, we’ve already heard smouldering lead ballad ‘Come Down’ and today we’re graced with single number two ‘Forever‘.

Sparked by lucid dream state explorations, ‘Forever’ threads together time / space-warping psych-folk, bluesy grooves and chamber-pop enchantments — sculpted into final form in the studio with Dave Khan. Deploying elegant minimalism with a touch of Lynch, Fountain compels listeners to dance in the accompanying video filmed / directed by the Lyttelton artist’s daughter Lola Fountain-Best, made with support from NZ On Air.
